This easy 5 kilometre bushwalk is an excellent bushwalk walk for beginners
introducing them to rain forest, waterfalls and the more strenuous ups
and downs associated with Blue Mountains gorges. The walk can be extended
by adding another loop embracing additional waterfalls and rock pools
increasing the distance to 10 km. One can easily get lost so the requirement
is for a map and a leader who can read it along with food, water and
emergency communication equipment.
Within 100 metres of the car park one arrives at Adelina Falls which
is accesses by stairs, the water level was low as can be seen on the
first photograph. The well used track adjacent to and running parallel
to the creek from Adelina Falls is accompanied by the pleasant sound
or running water. There were plenty of Crimson Rosela's and a male King
Parrot to view in the vicinity of Junction Falls.
The walk has several small climbs built in which can set the heart beating.
Our goal was to engage in a gentle nature ramble enjoying the scenery
and take photographs to replace older photographs published on this website.
The waterfalls are always pleasant on the eye not the easiest to get
good photographs. Never the less we gave it ago and the results can be
seen below.
The photographs depict Adelina, Junction, Cataract and Federal Waterfalls.
The second loop adds Victor and Terrace Falls along with Bedford and
