Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens - Blue Mountains

More of a social event than a bushwalk, the trip to Mt Tomah in the Blue Mountains is very rewarding with the views.
Time if for Spring or Autumn to catch the colour of the plants and trees and one has a very rewarding day.
We caught the opening day of the Waratah Festival but were too early for the American trees section coming into leaf, we also saw the small grove of the ancient Wollami Pine (65,000,000).
We'll try and catch the colour change and falling leaves next Autumn.
It was lovely to cup a hot chocolate whilst sitting on the restaurant deck in the cool breeze and see the birds looking for food in the Wisteria above us, at the same time being able to view the panorama of the Blue Mountains.
